Check out my review on Yelp.com on the Pep Boys in Pompano Beach!!!
1091 S University Dr, Plantation
Dad and I were looking for a new buffet to try and I’m glad I ran into this one. Dad is not a fan of sushi, so he was very excited that it was all fresh dishes and crab legs for dinner!
Dim sum, frog legs, specialty dishes, and the traditional dishes all offered!
Lunch is 6-8 bucks and dinner during the week is 13.99
We went at 5pm during the week and it was pretty quiet. The food was great and all fresh!
Dad and I are crab leg fans so they did not disappoint!
I would pass on the sushi, not their strong point.
Everything was fresh tasting and looked clean. Just don’t visit the women’s bathroom. Lol
3.5 / 5 stars
For the area, the price, & the freshness, I’d recommend it!
I took frozen codd (defrosted it for 2 days in the fridge)
Wrapped them in paper towels to soak out all the extra water.
Sprinkled them with salt.
Bought this batter (shown below) followed the directions just added a half cup of flower to thicken it up.
Threw them in my fry daddy for about 5-7 minutes (or until golden brown) and they came out awesome!
Had left over batter so I threw in some mushrooms!
If you try it, ley me know! Any questions for me, leave a comment!
Fried codd, garlic & herb coose coose, with green beans!
The coose coose is a 5 minute box you can get at any supermarket and its so easy to make and it’s a great side dish!
I’d love to try other recipes with coose coose!
My mom gave me a great idea! take imitation lobster and cut it up, mix mayo, lemon juice, celery, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Toast a cabatta bun or hot dog bun. and AMAZING!
The next idea from mom was to take a flax multi grain wrap, heat it in the microwave for 15 seconds, spread nutella all in the middle, cut up strawberries and blueberries and throw them in the middle. Great dessert and guilt free!
Sorry for not being on in a wile, I have had a lot going on in my life, I hope to be back on weekly! ❤
